Class description:

As a partnership between the private sector and government agencies, the Chicago Harbor Safety Committee (CHSC) is here to review, recommend, and to help implement actions for the safe, shared use of Chicago's lakefront and river for commercial and recreational purposes. Their new program, The Safe Boater Card is awarded to all boaters who review a wonderful video of local safe boating skills specific to the Chicago River, Chicago Harbor Lock, and Chicago Lakefront and complete an online review of the content.

About Russ Salzman

Russ is a 100 ton licensed US Coast Guard Master and a director of the Chicago Harbor Safety Committee. He is experienced in sail and power boating including 35 Mac and serves as an instructor and trainer for Pinnacle Yachts. Russ will share information of indispensable value for the Chicago Boater provided by this organization and highlight the Safe Boater video and recognition program.
